And, um, so what happened, when the house in 2023 got demolished, um, there was chatter about it, and I had just taken a picture only about four days before it got knocked down and posted it on Facebook.
9:28
And as things happen, a conversation of my, you know, my local high, friends from high school and, and, and people from around that area showed up, and they shared a blog post with me, and it talked about the chemical dump next door.
9:41
And I was immediately hooked, because I am someone who grew up during Love Canal, um, in Niagara Falls, New York.
9:47
Um, and that story was always with me kind of throughout my whole life.
9:53
It blew my mind, really, that what happened at, at Love Canal, which of course the, just for listeners to know, it's, uh, it was 22,000 tons of, of waste, um, from a chemical company that was buried u- in a, in an unfinished canal.

it was wild.
2:34
I mean, pe- there was...
2:35
I don't know if you've ever heard of the Valley of the Drums in Kentucky, but, like, if you see pictures of that place, it's just drums, same as Love Canal in, in, in, um, you know, Niagara Falls in New York.
2:44
It was incredible, like, how much waste is out there and how people disposed of it back then.
2:51
And now they still are looking at the same problem.
