That is the funniest joke in A Mighty Wind.

I don't know if you guys have seen that movie.

Oh, yeah, that's right.

It's so fun.

But that's a really fun... intro to like what the cast ended up being um because that's the cast of predator so with the exceptions of chip hazard and archer the two toy groups were played primarily by connected groups of actors the commando elite were played by cast members from the dirty dozen yeah i've made 1967 and the gorgonites were played by members of spinal tap and a mighty wind so like i mean if you if you look at that cast list uh christopher guest michael mckean uh harry shearer did you got some they were the gorgonites i think they each took

like two of them or whatever

yep they were the gorgonites and then um frank langella is archer that's the one who leads the gorgonites chip hazard obviously tommy lee jones but kip killigan is earnest borg nine butch meat hook is jim brown Our guy,

Some like David Guest, a little bit of A Mighty Wind when you're like trying to get the guitar going and you're kind of just like going like this.

Like, you know, a little bit of Elvira, a little bit of that Vincent Price because you are bringing in your friends, whether via phone call or video call or, you know, in person.

And then, of course, you reference Scream, The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween.

That's my type of humor and a little bit of dark humor too.

Have you gotten into Christopher Guest movies like Waiting for Goffman and A Mighty Wind and Best in Show? Okay, this is how you're going to spend your rest time.

So this is Spinal Tap, you know, directed by Rob Reiner with Christopher Guest as the guitarist kind of was the first mockumentary.

Well, then from that, Christopher Guest went on to direct Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, all of these other, you know, great mockumentaries with Catherine O'Hare and really then created that genre, which without that, you wouldn't have had The Office.

You wouldn't have had Modern Family.

You wouldn't have Parks and Rec.

what happened So many good things in A Mighty Wind, but it is a reunion with those reunion specials that we all see on PBS.

Great parody, and it has a lot of heart, too.

In fact, the song at the end of the rainbow was nominated for an Oscar.
