But this time, we are looking at A Memory of Light, and the context behind this book is arguably one of the most moving stories in modern literary history.

It really is.

A Memory of Light is the 14th and final volume of The Wheel of Time series.

The Wheel of Time is one of the foundational pillars of modern high fantasy.

It was the bridge that allowed the genre to evolve past its heavily Tolkien-inspired roots in the '80s and '90s.

We'll be starting with banded iron formations and ending up at complex modern steel, and hopefully I'll remember the things I didn't get around to in the magnesium episode for my geo-lecture portion.

have you read river of souls it has five it has less than 600 ratings but it's book 14.5 that's probably the prologue maybe right no it's a wheel of time novella that's after a memory of light have you read this tom i've never even heard of it until right now

I will say, I was going to mention this at the very beginning, and Tom, you probably already know this, but Jesse, I didn't realize the prologues came out a couple months before the books would come out.

They released the prologues for free online to get people ready for the new, as they're releasing them live.

didn't know that either until I saw that comment.
