A Little Princess

... "Shouldn't have showed somebody my favorite film like that."

Um, Haley Palmer texted me when Riley posted a review of A Little Princess, the movie from the '90s that I love, um, on his Letterboxd, and she, like, texted me as if we had gotten married.

She's like, "Oh my God, I saw you showed him your favorite.

Did he like it?" [laughs]

We were so close.

It wasn't like, you know, The Little Princess, where they f- go to some castle where they don't know their aunt and uncle.

Obviously, um, it, it...

But it was still really, really hard.

Now we're seeing some more s-- Yeah, these have the nineties and eighties.

The list goes on.

Yeah, you know B- b- b- stuff for kids.

O sea, Tim Burton tal cual vio a Cuarón, vio La Princesita y dijo: "Presta, carnal".

Sí.

Vio Grandes esperanzas.

We've talked a bit about some of your childhood favorites on the podcast too.

Like you watched A Little Princess growing up more and maybe some live action.

So I'm really excited to get your take on this live action film.

And Stephanie, you and I have talked a lot about the best way of kind of doing like a magical, ethereal, enchanting film in live action form.

Dolls can get up and they can talk.

I don't know why in The Little Princess it was presented as that's a good thing that the dolls move when you're not looking at them.

To me, I think about Slappy from Goosebumps.

That's the vibe.
