A List Apart

I was thinking about this and...

Thinking back in the early days, and we're talking early 2000s or whatever, when CSS was a new thing and a list apart was publishing articles on how to do, how to turn a list into tabs.

Except you have a whole 2,000 words by Dan Cederholm or Doug Bowman about how you make tabs.

But this was a time not just about people coming up with a new technique and sharing it, but there did feel like there was a genuine kind of feeling of enthusiasm.

It's an interesting one.

There's obviously been lots of conversation happening around the CSS tricks thing.

Jeffrey Zeldman posted yesterday a kind of a thoughtful ode to A List Apart.

And something that I actually didn't realize was a kind of a conscious decision where back in whenever it was 2016 or was around about that time, certainly a decade ago.
