A-League Youth

Mm

... and when we were growing up, there was the Super League, the, the National Youth League.

Mm.

You know, all that time when you were attached to clubs and you had that feeling because kids just played football at that level, right?

But that also then means the FA need to do a better job of helping the APL, right? It's a two-way street.

Secondly, I think we need to look at bringing back things like the National Youth League.

I think not having a proper National Youth League has been a negative overall.

And the reason for that is young players that are good enough to play senior football will break through.

And we're seeing that in the NBL.

Because the NPL has really come together and united around this tactical idea of technically gifted defenders and athletically gifted forwards.

And the tactical ideas you can pull from that.

So you actually need a national youth league to get the players that aren't ready for that kind of football yet at senior level, but are still technically gifted if you're a forward or athletically gifted if you're a defender.
