And he has been a playmaker for the Falcons this year from the peanut punch to the ability to get his hands on passes in the air.

AJ Terrell getting that matchup again with Jamar Chase to go back to their SEC days.

That should be a fun one.

And CJ Henderson in the secondary has suddenly... figured out how to play football.

So we will see how that matchup goes, but it's going to be important for the Falcons to get pressure on Joe Burrow because I am not loving the potential back-end matchups for the Falcons in this game.

We do get the – finally, we get the A.J. Terrell-Jamar Chase rematch, seven years in the making.

For those of you that do not remember, all the way back in that national championship game way, way back in 2019 or – January of 2020, whenever it was, Jamar Chase almost single-handedly ruined AJ Terrell's draft stock.

And they didn't get a chance to go up against each other because AJ got injured in that 2022 game.

And I know AJ's chomping at the bit for some revenge, but I don't like the idea of the Falcons leaving him on an island against Jamar Chase.

That's typically what they have done with A.J. Terrell as the boundary corner.

Usually he's locked up one-on-one with the X-wide receiver, and they don't necessarily give safety help.

But I think they're going to give that safety help this week because why wouldn't you? It's Jamar freaking Chase.

Now they're getting probably their best pure pass rusher back from suspension.

AJ Terrell is back from injured reserve.

I think Kevin Stefanski is a pretty good coach.

They can run the ball effectively.

I don't know who they are as a team, but they should be able to pull this one off, especially if their defense is going to come through.

That was another red zone pick, by the way.

The Browns were moving after the Terrell interception.

But, yeah, the two receivers and the quarterback performing at peak level, almost threw for 500 yards last week, five touchdowns against Tennessee.

The match is C.J. Henderson, A.J. Terrell, and Jesse Bates on Gasicki.

That's why the Falcons will have to play it, and we'll see if that's a winning formula for them.

Even though the conditions were brutal, and I'm with you, the Falcons game plan just didn't make any sense.

Cameron Thomas, Mason Smith, Josh Woods, C.J. Henderson, Brandon Dorlis.

And then some guys that did not put out the world's best film, Jared Ivey, Charles Snowden, Javon Dexter, AJ Terrell, Jesse Bates.

We'll talk about Kendall Daniels and Harold Perkins a little bit later, but they definitely had some rough goes, very up and down performances from those two at the linebacker position.

I thought LaKale London and Zach Harrison did more good than bad, but they unfortunately did not make enough impact plays to slow down this Bucs run game.

And Mike Hughes winds up taking all eight of the snaps in the nickel that the Falcons played in this game.

And I do plan on doing a more in-depth breakdown on this at some point, whether it's going to be this week or next week.

But basically that breakdown, we're going to look at the stats to show why Avion Terrell is better in coverage than Mike Hughes and should be the Falcons preferred option to be that CB2 over opposite AJ Terrell or should be playing over Mike Hughes as the slot corner when the Falcons do go nickel.

We're not going to go too deeply into that.

I think the team

has potential for next year with Pierce, with Bijan, with London, with Jalen Walker back healthy, Xavier Watts is good, Jesse Bates, AJ Terrell back.

We're just stuck in the middle this year, and I hate it.

I want to be contending, or I want to be out.
