Toby GadHOST
I should have given you three.
Toby GadHOST
One song I'm really jealous of, Aha, Take On Me.
Jon LevineGUEST
Unbelievable.
Toby GadHOST
What means Take On Me?
Aaron LewisGUEST
You know, I didn't want to listen to Flock of Seagulls.
Aaron LewisGUEST
I didn't want to listen to A-ha.
Aaron LewisGUEST
I didn't want to listen to Dexy's Midnight Runners.
Aaron LewisGUEST
I didn't want to listen to that.
ChaseHOST
You know, I brought up Donza Kuduro, Accentuate the Positive.
ChaseHOST
Another one I didn't bring up, but like Take On Me by A-Ha.
ChaseHOST
That's another one.
ChaseHOST
It's kind of got this playfulness to it.
Montel Vontavious PorterHOST
But then you see some of these artists, like just the other day, my boy...
Montel Vontavious PorterHOST
A new Paul Lazenby sent me this thing on Instagram, and it had artists then and now, from the 80s and now, like the singer from A-Ha, Take On Me.
Montel Vontavious PorterHOST
There's a bunch of them, but 20, 25, 30 years apart.
Montel Vontavious PorterHOST
And the hair is white.
MattHOST
Well, at least it says 20 years old or something on the line anyway.
MattHOST
But I'd been on a big A-ha kick.
MattHOST
That's where most of my week was spent, listening to different A-ha.
MattHOST
I couldn't get enough of A-ha this week.
MattHOST
Nice.
MattHOST
Yeah.
Uncle SteveHOST
Yeah, regardless, you're going to get it.
MattHOST
But I'm happy

In January 2018, the band performed at Rough Trade in New York City, covering Here She Comes Now by The Velvet Underground, Where's My Mind by Pixies, El Scarcho by Weezer, and Butterfly by Twin Peaks.
Nick MarshallHOST
In February of 2019, Weezer featured the four members of Calpurnia as the stars of their new music video for the cover of the A-ha track Take On Me from the album Weezer, the Teal album.
Nick MarshallHOST
The video takes a trip back to the 1980s, paying tribute to the original music video by A-ha.
Nick MarshallHOST
The decision to have Calpurnia participate in the video was solidified after Weezer had requested the band cover their hit song, Saying So, for Spotify's undercover podcast in 2018.
Nick MarshallHOST
The band announced on Instagram, again, that they split up in November of that year.

Hello and welcome to episode 29 of Aha! Ranking Highs and Lows, the podcast that celebrates the wonderful music of Aha! Normally, you'd hear Peter, the producer, doing the intro, but he couldn't join us today, so you have to settle for us.
Jens-PeterHOST
My name is Jens-Peter, or JP, but this would only be... 99% as fun if I didn't also have Jesper here with me.
JesperHOST
Hi,
24 MINS LATER
Jens-PeterHOST
But I really wonder what the 0.8% who said other error refer to.
Jens-PeterHOST
That must be some of the gap years.
Jens-PeterHOST
Like I liked Aha Best when they were on a break.
Jens-PeterHOST
It's probably Morten, Maun or Paul, Lauren and Frode who chose other error.
Jens-PeterHOST
Yeah, maybe.
Tim LeggGUEST
Well, the theme song was terrible, but yeah.
Aaron DoughtyHOST
I was into A-Ha, by the
Tim LeggGUEST
way.
Aaron DoughtyHOST
Well, yeah.
DanHOST

Not aha.
DanHOST
The ones who did the cover of Aha.
DanHOST
What were they called? Did a cover of Take On Me.
DanHOST
Goodness knows.
