I have not I have seen Die Hard 5 once and yeah I remember there's a big fight in like a warehouse or something that's it and that's it and then it just ends ah yeah family reunion we're all good but it was kind of interesting it's kind of funny how they both suffered from the same problem because Resident Evil was a very different movie like we were talking about this after when we came out of the cinema at the time right it was like they did this Whereas Street Fighter was sort of this partially reverential take on the franchise, also part parody.

There's no way they'll let him out of this cash cow for Marvel and Sony.
VanessaHOST

And yeah, I mean, I would keep doing Spider-Man movies, especially like a lot of his side projects have been real...

I'm probably the only person you'll ever meet that, as Sherri said, has been a senior executive at multiple motion picture studios, mainly on action movies.

So during the DreamWorks/Fox era of my life, that was Die Hard 5, The Wolverine, Star Trek 11, Transformers 1 and 2.

Ended up, because film became digital, getting into film 'cause they really needed somewhat personable programmers [laughs] you know? Someone who could talk to a director but also understand how to get it done, and that led to my saying, you know, "I really wanna work at a studio and get movies done." And what I've returned to now is back to tech.

They're like, "Why would you leave being a senior executive at 20th Century Fox in the film division, running the Die Hard franchise, running the Wolverine franchise," a number of things like that, right? I'll tell you, it was really Die Hard 5.

Die Hard 5, when I was at DreamWorks, the chairman of Fox lured me away by saying, "Hey, man, whatever you're making, I will double it, but I bet you grew up watching Die Hard." I'm like, "I did." He's like, "I will give you the Die Hard franchise to run." And by the way, a lot of the writer-directors you work with at DreamWorks, which is a very talent-friendly studio, like Steven and Stacey were amazing at attracting great writers, right?
