We are joined today by former U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Texas and current partner at A&O Shearman, Alan Albright.

I'm delighted to be here.

Although I would say this is more developed in law firm graduate recruitment than I think it is at this time in the senior in-house hiring.

I'm hearing from my partners on the law firm side that at firms like Freshfields and A&O Shearman have tested exercises involving AI prompts, fraud outputs, responsible tool use.

I would say in my searches, in the senior in-house searches, I more commonly see things like case studies, some operating model questions as well, scenarios involving an AI product launch, questions about governance and adoption, I think sometimes requests to describe a workflow improvement, and just probing around the candidate's personal use of AI as well.

I do think that candidates should be extremely precise about their role.
