8 Seconds

So I'm going to read you this letter and hopefully it'll be helpful.

The goal of a bull rider is to stay on a bucking bull for eight seconds.

He's then evaluated by how well he rode.

He needs a good animal for that.

If you ride with determination, forget the form, get the horns.

Tuff Hedeman said that.

He's in the movie Eight Seconds.

And you know he was the world champion like three times because he didn't ride with style.

And Cheyenne has the, you know who Lane Frost is? No.

You ever seen the movie Eight Seconds? yeah

is that the bull rider that's not the game movie right

no that's broke bag i mean no i don't know what that

He was great on there.

Eight Seconds.

You ever see Eight Seconds, that horse riding movie?

I was just gonna mention Eight Seconds is very good.

No, I've not seen it.

Oh, so good.

Yeah.

Okay.

It has nothing to do, when you're, you know this.

When you're a team roper, all that matters is the next three to eight seconds.

Right.

Period.

this John just immediately goes into good guy mode.

Yep.

Like Lane Frost from Eight Seconds, you know, like when Tough almost gets in the fight-

Yeah

They grew up on John Wayne and all kinds of Western TV shows and movies, and they all loved it.

And Luke was no exception there and really did explore that with movies like Eight Seconds.

He got himself a really big meeting to get that movie going and was making some big moves that I think a lot of us didn't even realize he was doing in his career because he was such a humble person.

I mean, everybody interviewed in I Am Luke just talks about what... a kind person he was.
