60th Venice Biennale

My guest today is Doruntina Kastrati, a Kosovo-based artist working mainly with sculpture and installation, often on a rather vast scale.

Perhaps you have encountered her work at the 60th Venice Biennale or the 18th Istanbul Biennale.

Over the past years, Doruntina has built a strong portfolio of internationally acclaimed works dealing with invisible labor and the body within a capitalist system.

What I love about her work is that the initial impulse and inspiration often comes from oral histories she collects from people close to her or from people she gets to know while working on site-specific projects.

This is also how I got to know you and your work.

It's been two years and sometimes I'm like, yeah, time is really flying.

So the 60th Venice Biennale, so in 2024, now we are at the new edition.
