But in the moment, a pure business decision to, "Hey, man, we got a business to run, you know? This, this is too much." And, you know, I don't know, you know, we talk about, we joke about football gods a lot.

I know it's just coincidence, but man, it feels sort of cosmic, right? That you get this young coach in Sean Payton at just the right time, and Drew Brees goes to Miami and is going to sign with the Dolphins, is excited about signing with the Dolphins, and the Dolphins kind of flag his medicals, and he goes to New Orleans on a visit and, and Sean Payton's like, "Dude, we really want you." And they take a trip and, you know, he and his wife, I think her name is Brittany, they go on this drive around the Fifth Ward and all over the city.

And, you know, I've heard Drew talk about this in smaller settings, so I mean, this is, it's...

I, I don't, I don't think it's a lie.

My grandparents raised me for a good bit of my life.

My grandmother lived in the Fifth Ward.

And, you know, when I, when I went to LSU, the seven became so big that I almost felt bad because, you know, obviously a lot of my family is from the seven ward and I went to school there.

I played ball there and, you know, that's pretty much the neighborhood I'm from too.

But in reality, I'm actually from the fifth ward in New Orleans.

And so I always told my grandma, like, man, I'm going to get to you.

I got you.

Then I kept it my entire career, even when they allowed us to sort of switch back to single digits.
