55th Venice Biennale

Her works often feel like layered rooms where dreams, memories, and fragments of life converge across the past, present, and future.

Currently living and working in New York, Virginia represented Zimbabwe at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 and was awarded the Prix Consant the same year.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in collections such as the Sainte-Tropez-Pompidou, Tate, and the Astrup Family Collection.

Recent solo exhibitions include Kutera Mutsara, Hearing Inner Lines at Nicola Vassel Gallery in New York, and Kupinduka at the Sontra Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo in Seville.
