34th Infantry Division

He had multiple combat deployments.

We served together in the 34th Infantry Division, and we were both voting assistance officers.

So in addition to our duties as infantry platoon leaders, we helped register our soldiers to vote.

We helped them cast their ballots from overseas.

So he's sending his, uh, his initial battalion in there that way, and then d- doing a wait and see whether he thinks the next one ought to go in the same way.

Um, which un- which this next one will, but his 3rd Battalion, he's gonna land by sea when, when they come on the heels of, uh, the amphibious landing done by the 34th Infantry, the 24th Division.

Um, so you've got a bunch of jump casualties, as you might imagine, on that kind of jump, uh, drop zone.
