That's that new corridor that you're talking about.

You were also involved with 25 Water Street.

I had Brian Steinwurzel on the podcast early on where he talked about that transformation from office to 1,300 apartment units.

Tell us a little bit about that.

I think, first of all, there was a creative thought on the legislature's part to provide that tax abatement and also to take that office product that really had seen its time and was no longer really relevant, was kind of obsolete, and allow it to be converted into something that was actually useful in terms of

housing

which is something that's so important for this city and i thought 25 water street was one of the best projects first of all it was so creative because the floor plate was very large it was 40 000 square feet and normally you would say well you can't possibly make that into residential But Brian and Nathan Berman, who was his partner, they cut light wells into the floors so that, in fact, you had windows, which you need to have operable windows for purposes of residential housing.

And so they created these windows.
