I joined the Flamingo Revolution from day one, May 31st, and I stayed every day in the streets of Tirana protesting until day 97, which was September 4th.

And when I say every day, I mean literally like every day, not only, not only, uh, and, and this is not to toot my own horn, you know, but, but especially for the last

two weeks

With Jared Kushner, the most corrupt mother effer on earth, who's not part of the administration, you discussed affordability, in which there's literally the Flamingo Revolution in Albania, in part because the corrupt government was willing to have him build a resort on their island.

There are right now massive national anti-corruption protests, like tens of thousands of people in the streets of the capital, Tirana.

They're calling it the Flamingo Revolution, all sparked by opposition to Jared Kushner's land deal.

Now Albania's anti-corruption police are getting involved.

They froze a bank account controlled by two of Jared's investors,

Today we're talking about Albania, where mass protests against the government of Edi Rama have been shaking the country.

Initially begun earlier this year following the approval by the government for the development of a multi-billion dollar luxury resort by Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in a protected ecosystem, these protests came to be called the Flamingo Revolution.

Since then, these protests, led mostly by youth, have escalated into a broad movement against the government calling for Edi Rama to be thrown into prison.

And as of a couple of days ago, Rama has announced new legislation calling it, quote, a new package against violence and urban anarchy.

We're not there, you know.

But I think still communism has kind of a bad name.

So, I think the students, and it's a continuation with the Flamingo Revolution, it just shows that the population of Albania cannot live anymore under these conditions.

Like, there is a lot of poverty, the education prices are very high.

The proposed site of the resort is an island on the Adriatic coast that is home to a number of endangered species, including some really cute flamingos and turtles, and plays a key role in the regional ecosystem.

Because of the connection to the endangered flamingos, this resulted in the protest being called the Flamingo Protests or the Flamingo Movement.

The protest movement against this is the biggest the country has seen since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the protests quickly began demanding the resignation of the president.

More recently, students took to the streets with demands around funding education and decreasing its costs.

So that's the background for this and also the reason for the 31st of October protests, which have been announced.

In Albania it's a little bit different because there the protests started in May 2026, the so-called Flamingo Revolution.

which was based on the Trump's family's land crop of this island, a side of a national park, and then quickly moved on to a protest against the government and its neoliberal politics, also now calling for more funds for infrastructure and for public education.

And while I'm recording this, I'm getting reports from Greece that Greece, hundreds of thousands were in the streets also protesting for better educational systems.

This development is going to be built on a wildlife reserve that is home to a whole bunch of animals like sea turtles and importantly, a bunch of flamingos.

which has led to these protests, the original version of these protests being dubbed the Flamingo Revolution.

Nice.

But the protests kicked into a higher gear in the last week.

And this, I mean, it all started out as this, as we mentioned, this kind of protest movement against the purchasing of the island by Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, right? Kind of under special conditions and very easily allowing them to, you know, take over this island, which had environmental and ecological impacts.

And it was, you know, the movement that started the Flamingo Movement or Flamingo Revolution, right, as it was known, has completely now turned into this anti-government and this past week in violent, which we've even seen similar to what has been in France.

We've seen some looting and some fires as well.

And some are saying that there are other forces.
