Nuseirat rescue and massacre

You may not remember it, but my next guest has done a tremendous documentary on it.

Hannah Pewter is the producer and director of Operation Arnon, a story of hope and sacrifice.

Hannah, welcome to the program.

Thank you, Steve, for having me on.

So i- it's, it's absolutely horrific what happened on October 7, and how they've been treated since that event.

Absolutely true.

So tell me about this, this rescue, Operation Arnon.

Uh, what is it? Why should we know about it?

Four hostages were rescued alive after being held for months following the October 7th attack.

That mission became known as Operation Arnon.

Today I'm joined by filmmaker Hannah Puder, the producer and director behind Operation Arnon, A Story of Hope and Sacrifice.

And this documentary looks at the planning, intelligence, courage, chaos, and sacrifice behind that rescue.

It also tells the story of Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who was killed during the operation and whose name became permanently attached to the mission.

This is my first, my own first film, yes.

That is amazing.

The film is called Operation Arnon, A Story of Hope and Sacrifice.

Saher Saker was documented transporting Argamani to Teghaza on the back of a motorcycle during the October 7th massacre.

Argamani was later rescued on June 8th, 2024 during Operation Arnon alongside Andrei Koslov, Almogmeir, and Shlomi Ziv.

Next, a former bodyguard of assassinated Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack against Jewish communities and Israelis in Europe around the second anniversary of October 7th, according to a report by the Sunday Times.

The suspect, known as Mr. X due to legal restrictions on his identity, previously served on Haniyeh's personal security detail in Gaza before moving to Britain.
