2 Samuel 6

When David came to him and said, "I wanna take the Ark out of your house and take it to my city," the whole nation was in an uproar of excitement.

It says in 2 Samuel 6:1, it says, "David again brought together the able young men of Israel, 30,000.

He and all of his men went to Baalah in Judah to bring up from there the Ark of God, which is called by the Name, the Name of the Lord Almighty, who's enthroned between the cherubim on the Ark." The cherubim is a type of angel.

So they go, they get, they get the Ark.

Now that incident caused David to do some serious thinking.

Look at verse 9 in the chapter, 2 Samuel 6 and verse 9.

And David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, how shall the ark come to me? So David tells us in verse 10, would not remove the ark of the Lord onto him into the city of David but carried it aside into the house of Obed-Edom, the Gittite.

So David's back in Jerusalem now and he's going to wait the Lord's timing and pleasure and he soon heard that this man, Obed-Edom, was being greatly blessed of God and so David decided he would return and he would finish the journey of the ark to Jerusalem and this time he'd proceed with a whole lot more caution.

Uh, can I move that just a little bit? Uh, 2 Samuel 6.

And I really struggled today, uh, trying to find the will of God, what He would have for us, uh, for this hour.

And of course, I'm just gonna try my best to give you what I feel, uh, in my heart that the Lord has told me to preach.

You say, "Preach, you preached that two years ago here." I'm glad I don't keep good records, amen.

And, uh, I'm just trying to follow the Spirit of God.

Uh, the Bible says, uh, in 2 Samuel 6:1, "Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, 30,000.
