2 Kings 13

I'm John Stonge and today we're in 2nd Kings 13, Elisha's final prophecy.

2 Kings 13 brings us right back into the troubled history of Israel's northern kingdom.

Kings come and go, Israel continues to struggle with idolatry, and enemies repeatedly threaten the nation.

But running through the chapter is another theme that we shouldn't miss.

Jesus said in John 11, 25, I am the resurrection and the life.

Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.

The resurrection recorded in 2 Kings 13 was temporary.

That man eventually died again.

Just write this down, every arrow matters.

You'll understand what it means once we get into the story, but 2 Kings 13, verse 14.

Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he would die.

This is a crazy verse.

So I wanna give you six arrows from this story that I think could change your life.

Number one, the promises of God.

The promises of God, the very first arrow we see in 2 Kings 13, and man, y'all can leave, we'll come back into worship in a moment.
