2 Corinthians 6

Behold, now is the day of salvation.

That's in 2 Corinthians 6, verse 2.

If God calls a person moving on their heart to get their life right with Jesus, it is essential that they do it now.

They should never assume that God will deal with their hearts the same way tomorrow or a year from now.

We're going to be talking about some of these things next week that I have found that are disturbing, but I want you to understand that the Lord has called all of those who believe in him to be separate.

I want to read to you here in 2 Corinthians 6, starting in verse 14.

It says, That's the devil.

Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God.

I will pray with them, for them, but we come out from among them and be ye separate.

That's 2 Corinthians 6, 17.

Not because I don't love them, but the Bible says, don't be conformed to the world.

In other words, don't be formed with the world, be ye transformed.

There are friends who can destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

2 Corinthians 6 We work alongside God and urge you not to overlook the immeasurable grace He offers.

He has said, at the right time, I listened to you, and on the day of salvation, I helped you.

Let me make it clear.

And I'll be your father, and you'll be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

Okay, so that's our Bible reading for today.

And I want to stay right here in 2 Corinthians 6, because Paul's giving us a picture here of what it looks like to remain faithful when life is pushing against you from every direction.

In fact, Paul says here, he says, as God's servants, we strive to prove ourselves in every situation.

It means even in your most massive failure, even in the thing you're most ashamed of in your life.

"I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you." And Second Corinthians 6:10 says this: "Our hearts ache, but at the same time, we have the joy of the Lord." What does that mean? That's the difference Jesus makes.

If you don't have Jesus in your life, then God isn't close to you at that moment, and you're, you're on your own.

You don't have any other resources.

We're just going to read a couple of verses there and then we're going to jump to chapter 7.

2 Corinthians 6, verse 16 says, What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God, as God has said.

I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Second Corinthians 6:17 to 18, "Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Peter, self-confidence, lack of spiritual vigilance in the garden leads to following Christ afar off.

Now you're in the wrong place, Peter.

The wrong place.

The Bible says he prophesied to Moses and said, I will dwell in them in Leviticus 26 and I will be in them.

Second Corinthians 6, 16 says, as it is written, I will dwell in them.

I will be their God.

They shall be my people.
