1st Ranger Battalion

I got a tan beret on my head.

I'm headed to 1st Ranger Battalion in Savannah, Georgia, but I still don't know what a Ranger does exactly.

And so that, that was, that was a wild trans- um, transfer over to that type of a mentality.

The, the Marine Corps definitely has its own very hardcore but very, very disciplined.

Rogers wrote the original 28 rules of Rogers Island at Rogers Island in Hudson after the battle on Snowshoes in January 1757.

Colonel William Darby read the rules verbatim to his 1st Ranger Battalion before action in World War II, which is interesting, the first modern military use of them as a unit briefing, not just as a historical artifact.

And then this is important.

The standing orders version most people know today, the plain English numbered list, don't forget nothing, see the enemy first, tell the truth about what you see and what you do, isn't actually the original 1757 wording.
