1982 Asian Games

Transition happened a little later when I went for Commonwealth Games.

And being in Nehru Stadium, where I sat as a child next to my father in 1982 Asian Games and waving out to the team in India, That dream came alive.

You know, as a child, I had this little two, three years of thing that I want to win the Olympics after reading a chapter in my book, in my syllabus.

In Hindi, there was a chapter on Nadia Komanich.

So I used to stand on the dining table and pose.

And I used to wear the medal with my mother's bangle on the school ribbon.

Then my father took me to 1982 Asian Games.

And I saw the opening ceremony in Jwala Nehru.
