So it was really just, that's the reason we did it is to shine a light on the history of computer science that a lot of people don't know.

And so when I was in Washington, DC, uh, just after I retired and was getting married, um, you know, I moved in with my wife, Maryse and.

On that street that I was living on, it was full of little black ladies, right, who had bought their houses, I'm not joking, in the late 1950s, early 1960s.

We were two blocks from, three blocks from Walter Reed Army Hospital, the old one, in a nice neighborhood on 16th Street and Military Road, right off the park.

For a week, full of islands, beautiful sailing spot, rivers coming in to the bay, pulling into harbors, enjoying amazing sailing time with my cousin that I'd been looking forward to a bunch of years.

and started the good life center and they and they scott wrote the book living the good life and it was kind of a pioneer they were pioneers in the american socialism movement godparents of sustainable living and really really organic gardening was you know starting the organic gardening movement i know i i've heard of them but i haven't really read that book but maybe some of you guys have read that this area is like home to a lot of old hippies kind of like Nevada County, so it feels right at home.

So they have a center, an education center really close to here.

Was it a Disney movie or a National Geographic documentary? And lemmings are these big, ugly, rat-like creatures.

How they show the perceptions of what they thought the future was going to look like in the 19th century.

and you get a sense of the robots that were made of a certain time period and with certain materials of that time projecting what they thought was going to look like or be like what the forms would be like in the future and that's always interesting to see the disparity how far it is from what people could even imagine
