Next, returning to his roots, why the killer's Brandon Flowers is going country.

Brandon Flowers may be frontman of the Killers, one of the most electric rock acts of the 21st century, but on his new album Thrasher, out now, he's coming home to his country roots.

My dad's response when he heard it was, finally, says Flowers, 45, whose father, Terry, raised him on honky-tonk heroes like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings.

Flowers, who co-founded The Killers in Las Vegas in 2001, turned to pivotal childhood years he spent in small-town Neffy, Utah, for inspiration as he wrote Thrasher, drawing on everything from his sister escaping an abusive marriage to the death of his brother-in-law.

And finally, Tinashe, Melatonin.

Don't be fooled by its title.

This pulsating dance banger on the singer's upcoming pop star album is anything but sleepy.

Next up is a series called A Tale of Two Cities.
