Um, I, I was in my support group, um, tonight, and the subject of God came up, which can be a pretty intense topic sometimes because some people vigorously believe in God, and some people vigorously believe there isn't a God, and some people are kind of in between.

I'm kind of one of the people that, well, the belief in something that is bigger than me where love emanates from and embodies all the principles I strive to be if that entity exists that that is God to me I don't know if it exists but I know that when I pretend like it does um and try to connect to it my life has a way of working out but um I was thinking about the God that I used to believe in when I was raised in Catholic school.

From there, she joined my mentor and friend Alco over at Early Warning and was part of the team that brought Zelle to market as she built the compliance framework, operating rules and governance for the first real-time payments network in the U.S. And most recently, she was the chief compliance officer for the Americas at Trustly, working on state licensing and opening banking.

We get into a lot in this conversation, what it actually means to write the operating rules, the difference between inheriting the machinery at an incumbent and then building it at a startup.

And so I started looking at, OK, Zelle works a little bit differently for every single banking app.

Can I make a video for every single version, even if even though it's going to be most likely the same, very similar, but still slightly different? Can I go do that? And sure enough, when I When I realized that I opened my floodgates instead of just like how to use Zelle, I did how to use Zelle on Wells Fargo, how to use Zelle on PNC Bank, how to use Zelle on Ally.

And all of a sudden, every one of those videos itself is doing very well because it's so specific to that audience member and I'm serving.

For people who do an upfront valuation fee, I see people doing things like collecting ACH.

I also see people do Venmo, Zelle.

I see people set up like a Square or a PayPal account.

Like I really see all the above.

And then they have a payment orchestration layer that maybe will actually direct where that payment gets settled.

Do they have Zelle? Do they have RTP? Is it an ACH? Is it a wire? And that may be a distant decision, but they've captured all the information before they made that decision.

And even though that information doesn't make it into the ACH, doesn't mean it shouldn't be screened.
