Pete KalinerHOST

[lips smack] So this is a, uh, this is an interesting point of information because it shows where, uh, where these people, the McGregors, Stephanie Sneed, for example, also, where, where they were going to try to get public funds for their consultant firms, for their nonprofit, right? Yesterday, I mentioned the story.
Pete KalinerHOST
2:02
Uh, we gave you details on, uh, I think it was a WSOC.
Pete KalinerHOST

Pete KalinerHOST
2:09
I'm like...
Pete KalinerHOST
2:10
Hang on.
Pete KalinerHOST
4:54

Pete KalinerHOST
29:51
This from WSOCTV.com. By Joe Bruno, just a few sentences, which is what happens when you got breaking news and you don't really know a whole lot about what's going on.
Pete KalinerHOST
30:02
You've just discovered some piece of information, so you rush to put it out.
Pete KalinerHOST
30:07
So here's what we have now.
Tayvon BestHOST
4:50
We want to make sure ours is filled.
Tayvon BestHOST
4:53
And then from there, obviously, from the WSOC channel or TV network, if anything, Eric Collins says, I think Brandon Miller are pretty much going on terms of the players and bringing back them on the broadcasting booth.
Tayvon BestHOST
5:09
Eric Collins had to say something about Brandon Miller.
Tayvon BestHOST
5:11
Same thing for Del Curry.
Sam FarberHOST
8:15
But there's another deal that has been announced, actually a couple of them, over the last couple of weeks that we wanted to touch on.
Sam FarberHOST
8:22
Now, you probably heard earlier WSOC and Channel 64 locally here in the Queen City and Charlotte are going to be the homes for Hornets basketball you know depending on the schedule map for those stations will determine which one it lands on but fans locally will have access to Hornets basketball throughout the season that was a big deal Rob but the big question we got on top of that is like okay what if I don't live in Charlotte because as we spoke about earlier you know one of the powers that the RSNs had you could widen the coverage map and you could reach into different markets maybe a little bit more easily without having to strike additional deals that was an advantage they had the disadvantage is if the rsn and your carrier weren't getting along or didn't have an agreement in place you were locked out you had no option and you were blacked out because league pass rules required if you were in the local market you have a local subscription but you might have been one of those local subscribers who didn't have the ability to purchase.
Sam FarberHOST
9:20
So we felt your pain, we heard your comments, and now we're stepping into a new era of Hornets television broadcast that is very much fan-forward, fan-first, that's going to allow everyone to be able to tune in and watch the great work of Eric Collins, Dale Curry, and Shannon Spake, and as importantly, more importantly, see the great work of the Hornets players and coaches.
Sam FarberHOST
9:40
out there on the floor.
Sam FarberHOST
12:51
So there were huge pockets of fans who either based off their current subscription pattern or where they lived or what was going on.
Sam FarberHOST
13:00
did not have access to Hornets basketball.
Sam FarberHOST
13:04
And that has been remedied, we believe, with this overall configuration of deals, both through DAZN, through Gray Media, through WSOC, of course, League Pass helping out nationally in terms of delivering deals.
Sam FarberHOST
13:20
great Hornets basketball and the great work of Eric Collins and Dell Curry to the masses.
