But fair trade, I think, really helped us to put structures in place.

And particularly, we piloted two fair trade systems for the World Fair Trade Organization.

So we were the first company in any sector in the world to be Fairtrade certified.

That was back in 2009.

We have Amanda Archila, executive director of Fair Trade America, bringing both the US perspective and the broader global perspective of the fair trade international system.

We also have Jette Lardigas, board member of the World Fair Trade Organization, and Sugumar Raman, chief program officer at Fair Trade USA.

Together, they represent three different and important parts of the fair trade movement, which is exactly why I've been looking forward to bringing them together for this conversation.
