But at least now I have the opportunity working with an international federation with World Aquatics to work on competition requirements and dietary restrictions and allergies being one of them in terms of food that's available at World Cups.

So this is something that even while competing, that was always challenging.

But now having this part of competition requirements, and it's not there yet, but this is something that we're looking to introduce in the 2027-2028 season, is to make athletes feel more comfortable when they go out and compete so they don't have to put the burden on on their support staff or themselves when competing.

You know, this is all great to say.

I mean, I'm part of the executive board of World Aquatics.

And so step one for me was to really recognize that this was an issue for all athletes.

Sometimes our federation doesn't have the budget to send a large staff with them, so if we're going to multiple World Cups and mostly just relying on myself, if I'm not able to eat any of the meals that are provided by the World Cups, then it's up to myself to try and find something, and that's obviously not ideal because as athletes, you need to be able to eat at the right time, and it's compatible with your high-performance training schedule, and that's not always the case.

I mean, I, I'm part of the executive board of, of World Aquatics, and so step one for me was to really recognize that this was an issue for all athletes.

So having at least the proof, it's great for me to present this to the executive board, but without any sort of a proof through concrete data, I couldn't really do much about it, and so that was my first challenge when entering on the board.

Let's say we are, let's say we are racist officials and we work for World Aquatics.

What rules would we change to make swimming less fair to Black people? [laughs]

Um, I'm putting official rules on, uh, how you can do your relay start footwork.

I think, um, I think as swimmers, we rely too much on our governing bodies and our masters are an afterthought, unfortunately.

So there is moves from World Aquatics and European Aquatics to have a series of open water races, but um, a global series of swimming events.

I would love it where you choose to spend your, your annual leave and, and where you choose to go.

Cool destinations-
