Southern Nazarene big over Iowa Central, 54-7.
PatHOST
17:23
Belmont Abbey, 45-26 over Wingate.
PatHOST
17:25
I think that's a respectable 20-point loss for St. the new Wingate program.
PatHOST
17:29
Aquinas 32-29 over Indiana Tech.
PatHOST
17:32
UNC Wilmington 42-14 over UNC Charlotte.
ZachHOST
19:50
but plenty of other good games as well.
ZachHOST
19:52
Good to see Southern Nazarene looking good like that.
ZachHOST
19:54
You mentioned Wingate looking strong, but Belmont Abbey taking care of business there.
Frank DiBariHOST
3:44
It's a very unique story.
Frank DiBariHOST
3:45
But you talk about playing D2 at Wingate, and then after that you went over to Kennesaw State.
Frank DiBariHOST
3:52
Really, what were some struggles that you faced, not only getting your name out there to college coaches, but once you got into coaching when your playing days were over?
Ginny BoggessGUEST
4:01
Yeah, I think probably one of the biggest struggles was – you don't know what you don't know and not having context, you know, as I raised, as I went up levels, you know, it wasn't like I played at Rutgers and then I just started as a G2, D2GA and I had context.

Frank DiBariHOST
21:01
That's great.
Frank DiBariHOST
21:01
But I know I've bugged you with a lot of all-over-the-place questions today, so I'll end off with this.
Frank DiBariHOST
21:09
If you told Ginny Boggess entering her freshman season at Wingate in 1999 that this is what her ever-growing resume would look like, what would be her reaction?
Ginny BoggessGUEST
21:20
Oh, wow.
AnastasiaHOST
60:57
But I used to look up and say, I'm like, bro, my sister doing this shit.
AnastasiaHOST
61:01
I'm talking about Wingate, USC.
AnastasiaHOST
61:03
What are you talking about? Masters, all that.
AnastasiaHOST
61:06
And I'm still proud of you, sister.
Ramani DurvasulaHOST

read a lot of literature this week, and I was reading a very interesting research study that was conducted by Chanta Dube and her colleagues at a place called Wingate University.
Ramani DurvasulaHOST
0:09
And in this study, they did something called a meta-analysis, and they reviewed lots of studies about childhood verbal abuse, a child being verbally abused by a parent, caregiver, even a teacher.
Ramani DurvasulaHOST
0:20
I was drawn to read the article because it's such a universal pattern in people who have antagonistic narcissistic parents in childhood, right? And the authors were really focused on making a very interesting distinction.
Kevin SheehanHOST
14:29
Sydney Stewart is a freak.
Kevin SheehanHOST
14:31
Uh, Wingate's great.
Kevin SheehanHOST
14:32
They're gonna miss, you know, for the season Zaheer Mathis, which was a devastating blow during the summer, uh, torn ACL.
Kevin SheehanHOST
14:39
But I like Maryland, uh, tomorrow night.
John WilkersonHOST
24:24
Yeah, Carson Newman trying to get to 4-0.
John WilkersonHOST
24:27
Eagles last week got the win over Wingate.
John WilkersonHOST
24:30
24-23.
John WilkersonHOST
24:31
Actually, the win was over Wingate.
John WilkersonHOST
24:33
The town is what they call Wingate, but Wingate.
John WilkersonHOST
24:38
So they will play on the road at UVA Wise.
John WilkersonHOST
24:41
So on the road to Virginia, Carson Newman trying to get to 4-0.
Jamie BradfordHOST
49:11
Wofford is at Chattanooga.
Jamie BradfordHOST
49:13
Newberry at Wingate.
Jamie BradfordHOST
49:15
Sacramento State is at Furman and North Greenville at West Alabama.
Jamie BradfordHOST
49:19
Now, does Landon Powell coach North Greenville football, too?
Zach SeykoHOST
4:00
And then they're dealing with an injury at quarterback.
Zach SeykoHOST
4:04
So they brought in a D2 transfer from Wingate, and his name's Elijah Holmes.
Zach SeykoHOST
4:11
Holmes actually got injured in the last game against FIU.
Zach SeykoHOST
4:15
And he's not that bad of a quarterback, again, relative to the MAAC.
ZachHOST
13:48
They're still a little stunned from that.
ZachHOST
13:50
And so they lost to Wingate a week ago as well.
ZachHOST
13:52
So maybe not the strongest Virginia Tech side we're used to seeing, but still a really good take care of business win from Tennessee off the back of a tough loss to Louisville last week.
ZachHOST
14:01
So, yeah, I talked to Emile Walton at Louisville, he said that game was a toss-up.
Jerry MackGUEST
16:14
He continues to progress the way he's progressing.
Jerry MackGUEST
16:17
Kyle Russell is a young guy that we got, or older guys should say, we got from a Division II program out of Wingate.
Jerry MackGUEST
16:24
You know, he has, you know, come off injury and the physicality that he plays with, we've really been impressed with.
Jerry MackGUEST
16:30
He exemplifies what we want up front.
