Um, and I don't know.

Uh, it, it, it's a very interesting thing to learn especially-- I even went on a limnology class which I mentioned to you too, uh, with WestConn with one of the, the workers at Northwest Conservation District, Kelsey.

I forget her title but shout out Kelsey.

And she brought me there and I got to watch the, the water testing side of things even down to them recording their data.

Uh, the short answer is yes, but we're still very much in our, you know, the beginning stages of that.

With our seven-member committee, um, we've- Assign some of our members to reach out to Western Connecticut State University, which has a media and arts program.

Um, and myself down in New York City, so my students at NYU, and there are a bunch of film schools in New York, right? There's SVA, NYU, Columbia, um, and, and hot- I'm sure there are more in, in other liberal arts schools.

Um, I know that students are looking for locations in a tri-state area.

Joining us now is criminologist, behavioral analyst, and attorney Casey Jordan.

She teaches classes at Western Connecticut State University on women in the criminal justice system and on the insanity defense.

So, I mean, I remember that case obviously so well.

What parallels do you see between Clancy and Yates?

We're taping this in 2026.

I still use this case study to kick off every fall semester my seminar in violent crime course that I teach at Western Connecticut State University.

Because when we, as an exercise in investigative profiling, start to reconstruct the lives of the two murderers, the culprits in this particular case, We discover something we've talked about recently on Criminal Appeal, the concept of the wicked attraction, the foliado, the foolishness of two.

And that is going to be the crux of this story about two men, Joshua Komisarzewski and Stephen Hayes.

The book is based on an ethnographic study of Liberian refugees' experiences in Staten Island, New York, and through this study, the book unearths the role of race and racism in refugee, uh, programs and processes in the United States.

Uh, the author, Dr. Bernadette Ludwig, is a sociologist and assistant dean of the Macricostas School of Arts and Sciences at Western Connecticut State University.

She's also an affiliated faculty with the new School Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility.
