Originally founded in 1976 by the members of the historic Congregation Mikveh Israel, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History is the only museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to exploring and interpreting the American Jewish experience. Throughout its three decades-plus of existence, the Museum has amassed the largest collection of Jewish Americana in the world.
