on to Webjet.

This is just what I always use.

Other people use different sites.

And let's look at the assumptions with some of the young people investors.

Some of them are mugs like me who've invested in shares like Webjet, which don't issue dividends.

They were hoping to get a capital gain.

So, you know, that's a wrong assumption.

Why? Because I know over time it works.

Now, I bought shares in Webjet because COVID's not going to be a thing, right? So it's like SARS and MERS.

The market's overreacting.

I got absolutely toasted on Webjet.

I don't have the shares anymore.

But I also bought things like Berkshire Hathaway.

Oh, I don't know if you heard that long sigh that just came out when [laughs] you raised that, but it's, uh, you know, it's still quite a fresh memory.

There's this quite a well-known article that was in The Australian Financial Review, and it started off by saying, "Roger and his mates were cycling over a mountaintop in Central Otago in February, and he got a call from the CEO of Webjet, who said, 'Roger, you need to get to Melbourne now.

We've got maybe six weeks to live.'" And that's the true story.

So I was chairing Webjet, dropped everything.

You know, we were literally on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, so rode to civilization, managed to get a car.

Flew out the first flight I could get to Melbourne.

And you realize- You know, we are too dependent on one thing here.

We're a one-trick pony, and that, that got me thinking.

Wednesday, we'll see Domino's, Woolworths and WiseTech.

And then on Thursday, we'll hear from Wesfarmers, Qantas, Macquarie Group and also Webjet.

In the United States, one of the most fascinating stocks in the world will provide second quarter earnings on Wednesday night.

What, if anything, is attractive to you about Web Travel Group, Howard?

Yeah, not a lot.

Um, you know, it's, it, it's lost money a few years, not through its own fault necessarily, because, uh, uh, flights and so on were closed during COVID.

Um, if you only want 20 or 25 companies in your portfolio, you can probably find something better.
