I've been in one of those Waymos, and they're pretty interesting.

The idea of a driverless car, interesting stuff.

But anyway, they're going to have cars flying by 2032, apparently.

Living so close to New York, there are things that I see that further in South Jersey... people will never be like what are you talking about right

no seriously it's so interesting because like i went to interview a curator that i'm friends with and she was saying oh yeah i went into the city she's in pasadena she's like oh yeah i went into the city and i saw all these like Waymo's in robots mind you Pasadena is only 30 minutes away so she's saying like all these Waymo's in the robots on the side of the road she's like what is happening here and mind you you know how Pasadena is it's pretty yeah it's like chill so I'm

Yes, and that's why I was wondering, because you said it's for the Austin, Texas market, but I'm seeing them around here too, unless they're just a test phase.

So for people who don't know, to operate the autonomous vehicles, companies including Zoox and Waymo have to get all sorts of government approval, not just federal approval, but state and local approval as well.

And the deals have all been separate for different vehicle companies.

So it's very confusing.

All that stuff affects everything.

So it's difficult to establish new markets for these things.

And Waymo is in by far the most markets.

They're in Phoenix and L.A. and San Francisco.

has nothing to do with anything, but it feels tangentially related.

Waymo, like one of the biggest things that was like destroying their business was the fact that people would get out of the Waymos and not shut the door.

And then the car would basically be rendered useless because it can't drive with the car door open and they can't fix that.

What about you, babes? So your no ma'am leads perfectly into my yes ma'am ma'am because San Diego City Council advocated for local – not advocated, passed a resolution for local regulation of Waymo and other autonomous vehicles in San Diego.

And I'm here for it.

What that means is that Waymo greenlit their cars being like – delivered and starting here in san diego without any input from the from the community or the city council and so the city said we're not doing that mama no so we're gonna do a local regulation of waymo so if you want to be in our city because they just came in started testing and piloting without without getting without getting approval essentially and so the city is like if you want to do that then we're gonna have to we're gonna have to check you but if you don't let us check you You're going to have to go.

All the little minibuses you got are going to have to go too.

Fuck you and your autonomous vehicles.

I mean, I was in Nashville and I saw my first Waymo car drive, you know, one of those cars that's just a solo, like not a solo, nobody's in it, you know, it's just driving around like a...
