We just finished two episodes on Mormonism.

Today, we're going to be doing an episode on the Jehovah's Witnesses, a group that in some sense is similar to Mormons and that famous for going... groups of two knocking on doors being very faithful at sharing their message but at the same time very different than mormons on so many different levels and before this episode jeff and i were just talking about how joe's witnesses are harder they're more difficult they're typically very well trained they typically know their stuff very well and more so than other cults were going to call them, Jehovah's Witnesses are taught to not even entertain the thought of questioning the beliefs that they've been taught, the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

So if you're a Jehovah's Witness out there listening to this, we invite you to just seek the truth.

That's ultimately what we want, just as we are continually seeking the truth and trying to communicate the truth.

Since more people eventually plant something in their mind that will cause them to question.

I've heard stories.

met people who did leave the Jehovah's Witnesses, but it's consistently started with rebelling against the degree of control that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has over Jehovah's Witnesses.

We're basically like, I'm not allowed to think for myself.

My name is Mike and we are looking at the June 2026 Watchtower Study Edition and it's the article being studied from August 31st through September 6th.

So as I'm recording this we're actually finally caught up.

And the title of this article is, Pay Attention to How You Listen.

One way in which Jehovah provides spiritual food today is through our congregation meetings.

At those meetings, we often review information.

In other words, look at Watchtower articles.

That is familiar to us.

I mean, not blinking, but shining to the world.

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

Did you know if they'll tell you the truth, they believe that Jesus is living today in Brooklyn.

This is the message of the Watchtower Society, the Jehovah Witnesses.

That's just what they're considered.

It's the Watchtower Society.

They're a society.

They believe, are the witnesses of Jehovah.

Hello everyone and welcome to the JW Review.

My name is Mike and we are looking at the Watchtower Study article, How to Remain Loyal When We Face Tests of Faith.

And it's the article that's being studied or was studied the week of August 10th through 16th.

As you can see from the title, this is about faith being tested.

Notice that Peter did not say that he and the other apostles fully understood the meaning of what Jesus said when he told them that they needed to eat his flesh and drink his blood.

One thing that's often misunderstood is that my main objections to the governing body authority is not, never trust someone unless you understand everything they're telling you.

Because Watchtower is making a legitimate point in these last few paragraphs.

The disciples didn't need to understand everything Jesus said in order to rationally continue trusting him.

And he is going to be the source of all information because he's going to be He's going to be the God-man and live as our king, and the kingdoms of the world will be gone, and the kingdom of our Lord, the Father, and of his Christ, his Son, is going to rule and reign forever and ever.

So all I can say is, if anyone's going to say this is right or this is wrong, whether it's a professor or the Watchtower and Track Society or Confucius or whatever, I'm going to say, well, how do we know who says? And I've got to go to the Bible, right, and say, okay, if the Bible is a reasonable, it's proven to be a reasonable authority, and that is going to have to, I'm going to have to look at like the Bible.

the book of Isaiah, who says this should be obvious as well.

Other gurus, other prophets, other prognosticators cannot tell the end from the beginning.

If they were punished for neglecting what happened on Mount Sinai, I would be really in trouble to neglect what is clearly the fulfillment of all the Old Testament when Christ came and everything that happened in Christ's ministry was confirmed by the apostolic miraculous gifts, as 2 Corinthians 12, 12 says, the signs and wonders were done and proved that everything that Jesus did, the cornerstone, was the resurrection itself, and we got to obey it.

And it all comes from this book.

So, that's why I'm a sola scriptura guy, and I'm not a Watchtower and Tract Society guy, I'm not a Jehovah Witness, and I'm not a Catholic, because they build that right into their doctrinal statement.

And they say, yeah, the Bible is an authority, but we're also an authority.

Roman Catholics worship Roman Catholicism.

Jehovah's Witnesses worship the Watchtower Society.

They all worship the system.

The system deifies itself and glorifies itself.
