Not exactly the person Warners of old would have turned to.

Well, all hail Irv Spence and the rest of the Termite Terrace gods that they did.

She couldn't have gotten it more right.

I think it's my favorite film of the year.

They're not being respected.

The place where the cartoons were, were originally produced was called Termite Terrace-

Right

... 'cause they were in this really awful building.

But they were looking at really good classic timing here.

And... which was a hallmark of the people at Termite Terrace and Warner Brothers during the heyday.

Build, build, build, smash.

I bet you there's probably a lot of other stuff in the background that I missed during my first watch, which I definitely got to go back and watch this again.

And, and those guys were, like, crazy funny, and, like, it just made me feel like we were in a culture that was...

Uh, it, it, [laughs] it reminded me of, like, what it must have been like back then in, like, Termite Terrace, just, like, those guys cracking each other up.

Like, you know, making up new gags.

Like, "Okay, let's scrap that.

Yeah

...

Termite Terrace experience, right? They're in the, they're, they're in a facility that's basically the, the, like, Fleabag motel of the lot.

And they're...

Where they ultimately go with this is very sweet and a reminder of why the Looney Tunes continue to endear so many years after they were first drawn.

The movie is such a tribute to what makes the work of artists like Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, Robert McKinson, and the other folks at Termite Terrace so special, and why we want to watch these characters attempt to pulverize each other to hilarious results.

Shame on whoever decided a better use of this movie would be gathering dust somewhere rather than letting the world see it.

It was great that so many rallied behind Coyote vs. Acme and called for its release.

Harkening even back to making Tweety the mascot of the new logo and having it go from the sketched out studio into a fully rendered animated logo with Tweety showcasing that transition.

And another fun fact is that the last short released under the original Termite Terrace was actually a Tweety short directed by Friz Freleng, who was the longest running director there, and it was called "The Last Hungry Cat" in 1961.

And that was before the whole, you know, closing of the doors and then moving to Warner Brothers Studios proper-
