And today I am delighted to introduce Ellen Burge and Leonard Gordon.

Ellen is a partner at Venable, where she co-chairs the firm's financial services and payments and fintech practice groups, advising many of the world's most recognizable brands on advertising and marketing compliance, consumer protection, and payment regulations.

Her cross-disciplinary practice spans federal and state regulatory frameworks, government investigations by agencies such as the FTC, CFPB, and the state attorney generals, and counseling fintechs, payments processors, and banks on merchant onboarding, money transmission licensing, and banking as a service structure.

A recognizable thought leader and frequent speaker on advertising law, subscription marketing, and payment processing, Ellen also co-chairs the Government Relations Strategic Interest Group of the Association of Payment Professionals and serves as a member of the Venable Board.

Leonard is a partner at Venable and chair of Venable's advertising and marketing group in New York.

He brings deep regulatory expertise from his tenure at the Federal Trade Commission, where he served as regional director.

He regularly represents companies and individuals in consumer protection and antitrust matters before the FTC, state attorneys general, the DOJ, and the CFPB, as well as before the National Advertising Division and in class action litigation.

In an op-ed for Cyberscoop, Luke O'Grady, a senior analyst at Venable LLP and the Center for Cybersecurity Policy and Law, argues that Congress's proposed AI Kill Switch Act could create the very security risk it's intended to prevent.

The bipartisan bill would give CISA authority to require frontier AI companies to build mechanisms capable of throttling, suspending, or shutting down their systems.

O'Grady compares that approach to the NSA's ill-fated Clipper chip, which provided government access to encrypted communications but was found to contain a serious security flaw.

We got some time after practice with Brent Venables and several Sooners players.

Any change in your thoughts on this? And what do you think about what Roger Denny had to say?

Yeah, I think the way that Roger attacked it in the immediate aftermath, the statement that he put out yesterday after the Sooners announced the extension, I thought it hit all the right points because did Oklahoma have to do this right now? No, I mean, I think we all can infer from Brent's past comments, things that he's expressed about how comfortable he and his folks are here and how he viewed Oklahoma as a destination job right from the get-go.

I think we all can figure that Brent Venables never wants to leave Oklahoma.

I think this is more of a move that's calculated when it comes to talent acquisition and the whole process they're in because, and Denny made note of this in his statement, Steely, These days, there are very few programs across the country that can promise stability.
