Well, look, I think Arkansas state is a team that TCU fans are kind of raising an eyebrow at because we've seen them really push a very, very good Memphis team to the brink for, for the majority of two and a half, three quarters before falling in a, a game that was maybe tougher than people thought it would be.

And then, of course, they're bounced back against a very overmatched West Georgia team.

He's got that going.

The defense, they don't really have a standout defensive lineman.

Last year, they had two or three, but the whole unit is probably deeper you know so they're not asking these guys to do as much uh you know you go out there and play two series and bust your tail and give me all you got and then come over and rest and then you'll go back later you know and they've so far they understand that uh they're young among the guys who stayed around there most of them are young younger guys um but i think And the West Georgia game kind of went as people would think.

I mean, it was a lot like what the Frogs had with Grambling.

They played well for about two and a half, even maybe three quarters.

And then they took care of and covered against West Georgia 52-7.

Thus far, TCU has lost to North Carolina over in Ireland 15-10 and blows out Grambling 63-7.

Let's see if they covered it.

So red shirts are out, and I'll practice and everything.

And if I'm not starting by my second year, I'm headed to North Texas or, you know, send me off to West Georgia or something like that.

Our starting quarterback that year, Carson Beck, was from Jacksonville.

The West Georgia fans, when we beat Florida, we kind of consider Jacksonville southeast Georgia because it's right there on the border.

But depending on how you want to give back the credit for being an SEC title quarterback, that's okay.

But we hadn't had a quarterback from outside the state of Georgia as a starter lead us to an SEC championship since 1966.

He's not a newcomer to the program.

He was Mercer's defensive coordinator before he spent the last two years as head coach of West Georgia.

He's known as a defensive maven, and the stats early support that.

Mercer's only allowing 12.7 points per game in three contests this year.
