I don't think he ever had a big breakout season.

No, but they had him kind of pegged as a giant killer because he had three top 10 wins while at UW.

He

had big wins, but obviously plenty of losses.

Those three.

But if you look at his other biggest games...

UW twice.

UW three times.

What do you like about Washington State after seeing them against the Huskies?

Yeah, I think that one's tough to assess how Oahu is going to play the rest of the season in part because, I mean, you're at UW in a historic rivalry game.

And, I mean, it's the very first game of the Kirby Moore era.

And I think it was always going to take a little time for this offense to gel a bit.

there's one play in particular I'm thinking about where Daman Williams, you know, escapes from what it was like three guys to get a first down and keep the drag alive late.

There was one, I forget the player, but he really badly over pursued.

And if he would have just stayed home and let his teammates worry about that direction and then, you know, be there when Williams cut back, I, I think this could be a completely different ball game and, you know, maybe UW, uh, forced to end their possession or whatever but I think there's lessons to be learned from that game and yeah I mean at the end of the day Yeah, I know you'd have put up a touchdown with two minutes to go.

But other than that, to only allow 17 points and be within a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter on the road if you're Wazoo, I think you're, for the most part, pretty happy with that.

Then the next week, ESPN UCLA, I'm defensive player of the game.

The next week, let's see, Washington, University of Washington, who just won the Orange Bowl, and they said they should have been national champs.

So it was just like, I remember driving through Towns Rock, up by Caroline Square, up there at the State Street University in Orem, and you're like, and they had the little billboard up there in lights saying, you know, something about Go Jason Buck.

Then the next week, ESPN, UCLA, I'm defensive player of the game.

But also involved here is the Brookings Democracy Playbooks are all almost word for word the same as the playbooks that have gone out all over Europe, okay? And the Election Integrity Partnership of 2020, do you know that that started in Ukraine? Yep.

Started in Ukraine and then came here and, uh, occupied the Stanford Internet Observatory, University of Washington, CIP, Graphika, Atlantic Council DFR Lab, keep a lot of, uh, eyes on Atlantic Council, and the Election Integrity Project, a whole-of-society model linking election officials, government agencies, civil society, NGOs, platforms, media, big tech, researchers in real time before the 2020 election and after.

Now, where this comes in is that there's, there's certain people that have been coming up over and over, and this goes all the way from Serbia to Georgia to Ukraine to Belarus to Poland to Moldova to Hungary to Romania to Brazil to Germany to France and the United States.

All recurring models, all recurring playbooks, all recurring language, all to save democracy from authoritarian leaders Apparently authoritarian leaders are ones that believe that their nation state should remain sovereign and not become a global governance, uh, node of Agenda 2030.

Uh, I serve on a day-to-day basis as the Atlantic Council, as the director of the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab.

Uh, and this event is hosted by the Election Integrity Partnership, which is a coalition of top-tier research institutions that worked together throughout the 2020 US elections to detect and mitigate election-related mis- and disinformation The partnership or EIP comprised of Stanford Internet Obser- Observatory, uh, Graphika, the University of Washington Center for an Informed Public, and the DFR Lab, and served as this independent body that worked together with nearly everybody involved in election integrity, uh, on this collective challenge.

And that includes election officials, state, federal, local, uh, government officials, large and small, social media platforms, media, civil society organizations, and the wider research community in general.

He played at USC.

There was another kid that went on and played at UW.

Didn't make it out of UW.

Ended up having to transfer out.

But was a very good player.

Yeah, I mean, here's the thing about the Apple Cup last weekend, man.

UW missed the chip shot field goal, and they had a fourth and goal at the one-yard line where, for some reason, they decided to get into shotgun and hand the ball off at the six-yard line when they needed one yard for a touchdown.

And they got stuffed.

I mean, that easily could have been, you know, a 17-0 or a 20-0 game at halftime against Washington State on Sunday.

So I would not be too concerned about the Cougar offense coming up in this game on Saturday.

If I'm a Kansas State fan.

But for UW, for the Washington Huskies, I mean, they've got aspirations of playing in the CFP.

And if they are going to do that, they absolutely need to look a lot better than what they did on Sunday.

Then it ended up being a four-man competition.

Those two men I just mentioned, Carver Willis, the fourth round draft pick this year out of the University of Washington.

And they also tried to get Austin Pleasance into the mix, but he got hurt.

So it went from two to four, back down to two between Willis and Colby.
