So LAFC's job is to make sure that last weekend was just a moment and not the beginning of something else.

Here's a kid that starred at UMBC, 17 goals for NYCFC2, then exploded for 21 goals across all competitions with FC Tulsa last year.

Sporting brought him in this year.

He had an ankle injury that kind of messed up his season, but he may now have found his footing.

I played in college.

I went to UMBC, which is University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

The school became famous a few years ago and their basketball upset University of Virginia.

It was the first 16 seed to beat a one, but I played golf there.

I grew up just outside of Baltimore and looked at a few different schools and I was a good player, but I wasn't a great high level D1 player.

I had a couple of friends from the area that had played junior golf with it that also signed at UMBC.

So it Became a way for me to play a lot immediately, to travel a little bit and get the college golf experience, but not play against guys that were going to play on the tour.

Of course, at the time, maybe I thought I was going to play the tour one day, but looking back

Vermont did not win either the regular season or tournament title last year, but they still had six of the league's 21, or excuse me, 24 Division I wins in the non-conference.

Uh, them and UMBC had 11 of the, of the conference's 2020, or '24.

It's a sad decline of the league.

I mentioned with like the Horizon and the Southland, some leagues are trending up and have figured out this era of basketball.

And she, they're having a blast, you know, for 48 hours at my expense.

And then all of a sudden, you know, July, Coach Boudinier is leaving here to replace a past player of mine, Josh Pelletier, at UMBC, and now, even though Joe was in, I think, Rwanda at the time with South Sudan, you know, the head of school and the athletic director here, husband, wife, the Stones were Blair people, so, you know, all of a sudden it became a viable option, and the family, you know, I moved them in two weeks from their lifelong houses.

So it was an adjustment.
