It was a, it was a USO tour, so we go and, uh, I remember I went to the airport, and I told the guy, I was like, "Hey, I'm going to Honduras." And the guy was like, "All right, like, what city?" And I was like, "Well, I mean, I'm just learning right now that's not the name of the city."

[laughing]

Ugh.

I think it's part of the Pentagon's broader effort to engage with celebrities, influencers, and figures from combat sports and pop culture, which that's not new.

Celebrities, athletes have toured the Pentagon before, but it's usually like USO related or they're promoting something that is related to the Department of War, a movie, a book, something of that nature.

I don't get the appeal of these two dudes, but I'm also 41, so maybe I'm missing something.

Can you shed any light on what you think the purpose of the Paul brothers going to the Pentagon is?

I mean, a lot of people that, you know, aren't around that kind of crowd get starstruck by something pretty easy.

So like when we did USO tours, that was pretty cool.

You never knew who you were going to run to.

You know, you'd have Wee Man, you know, doing a USO tour.

He was like, hey, check this out, dude.

I'm in uniform, I don't know if I can.

There's 2.8 million members of the United States military in the all-volunteer force who could go do something else with their lives, but they choose to do something extraordinary every single day.

Yeah, I mean, certainly they inspired me to do what I did at the USO for a living.

Absolutely.

It really was not what I would have expected, but it was the greatest thing to be able to do to give back to them.

Not to say there wasn't gore, but the full cinematic gore.

And then doing the kind of USO medley schtick.

kind of uh twinned in so it was a very interesting watch um unlike um i'm not okay um which is a video that i've seen several times before this was the first time i'd seen the video for that specific song

oh wow

i thought it was good yeah

Yeah, I thought it evoked that kind of...

It seemed quite Green Day-ish, in particular, with the USO stuff.

That satirisation of...

Dude, you know, we've been fortunate.

We do a lot of stuff with the Armed Forces Entertainment, USO, MWR.

We do a lot of stuff where we seize at a lot of different bases.

on coalition bases too of all different countries.

My mom was a commercial illustrator.

And when my dad got out of the Navy, he was at a USO dance.

And he said, I saw this foxy looking dame.

I loved the way he was talking about it.
