Umbrella Entertainment

This is the first Blu-ray.

Every single Umbrella Blu-ray says it's Region B, but they have played on all of my Region A players.

This is the first example that I've come across to where this is strictly a Region B. I'm gonna have to watch this upstairs on my region-free player, um, which is a bit of a bummer because I'm assuming...

I know that, uh, Neon came out with this in the States on a Blu-ray.

I don't know if word spread, and sometimes they got in trouble a little bit more than what they should have.

But, uh, this release, uh, is only Region B, so word to the wise.

I love these, uh, premium collector's editions from Umbrella.

This set, here's a nice one shot of everything that's included in there, and each one of these is individually numbered.

Okay? All right.

So the Umbrella Entertainment 4K Blu-ray, okay? Now, what I was talking about earlier was that this movie, it's like you can't find this movie.

You can't.

It's streaming nowhere.

It's almost nonexistent, okay? The only thing you could get, and I'm happy I got it, and sometimes you gotta spend $50, right? You gotta spend $50 to get a Blu-ray that you just can't find in America.

So I had to get from a UK thing, I think it was on eBay or Amazon, I don't remember.

Uh, but it's made by Umbrella Entertainment, and it's one of my favorite physical media discs that I own.

Why? Well, there's the rush of it being unattainable, right? Like, that's one of the things.

The sequel is, in fact, stupid, but the ori-

I, I think Umbrella...

Zach, did Umbrella put out a, like, a 4K of this or something?

There is a...

Yeah, there is a brand-new version-

Dude, we gotta spread the good word, man.

Like, this movie especially, I was, um, I was very surprised when I saw that there was the 4K announcement for Umbrella with, like, a whole box set, and the fact that too, like, my, like, my buddy said, which you've, you've hung out with, you've met on the livestreams and stuff.

I was surprised too.

I mean, obviously, they're cinephiles like us, but when I saw some of them get really excited about it, they were like, "Oh, shit, Cube." I was like, man, we all-- 'Cause we're all around the same age.

Yeah.

So it's good that it's getting released.

I do feel like it's a shame that Umbrella's not releasing the full trilogy, but they might, they might have their reasons.

Maybe they couldn't get the rights.

And I do have to say, these movies have no right looking as good as they are.

Umbrella and their 4K restoration team did wonders on this franchise.

If you are a fan of the Hatchet man, of Mr. Victor Crowley right here, I don't think you can do any better.

I have the Blu-ray Steelbook set from Dark Sky Films.

finally getting another time to shine in this franchise.

That's what makes the whole franchise so special to me.

Umbrella also came out with a VHS tape for the original Hatchet, which is my favorite in the franchise.

I really do like the original Hatchet movie.
