U. S. Kids Golf

And then it was my, we'd always, I'd always swung a golf club, and then I was around 11 or 12 when I really started playing.

I played a couple US Kids stuff when I was super young.

Go o- shoot a million and me and my, me and my dad would argue at each other.

But it was more me just complaining and, and not.

I don't know what to sign him up for." He goes, "It's easy.

You, you gotta get him in some tournaments.

Like, just kind of, just get him, even if he doesn't like it, just have him play in a couple of them, and..." And so we played a couple US Kids things, then it was NEPGA stuff, which I wasn't a big fan of the NEPGA stuff for not having those.

Uh, I remember crying after one of the rounds.

I mean, the money's great, but seeing and enriching somebody's life is really cool.

I'm so glad that you brought that up, Peyton, about the kids, because you are certified in US Kids Golf, which is a whole program just for kids.

And I would really love for you to tell everybody about what age some of these kids start, because I want to just paint the picture for everyone.

Peyton is the golf pro, and he's got all these kids, ages, all different ages, and they're all working together to learn to play golf, and it can be really chaotic.

Um, from there it became, you know, parents wanted somewhere outside of school to learn, so I had to create the Green Grass Academy.

Um, utilizing, you know, the player pathway form that US Kids Golf had to offer, I started my academy and, um, brought up a lot of kids and, and grew, you know, groomed them to be players.

And then the question, next question for, that parents had was, "Oh, so how do we get them into tournaments?" And so, uh, I was fortunate to, um, be invited by Greg Hubbard at the time to start the Hawaii, uh, Tour Series.

Uh, so we, we, um, started on Oahu.

I've got the, um, [smacks lips] uh, Top Teacher in the State award by Golf Digest, uh, for a couple years now.

And all of these are, are, are, are you're elected by peers, so you're recognized by your peers for being, um, involved in the community and in growing the game.

And, and, and, and it's certainly nice to be the top 50 masters teacher for US Kids Golf, um-

Yeah
