Then apparently Talby understood that he could do it, and he padded up what had been the bathroom with egg boxes, egg cartons, and he turned that bathroom into a voicing room.

The control room where he was doing the mixing and everything had been his bedroom, but he'd moved out by then.

I heard that off of a great compilation.

Trojan Records released a compilation just on rocksteady music.

And that's where I first heard Alton Ellis.

And for anyone who wants to go back and go for it, it is a great compilation to get yourself adapt to rocksteady and how it progressed into reggae.
