Trader Vic's

It's on the lower level, kind of right below the sushi bar and near the island's dining room.

And it's always kind of a throwback Trader Vic's kind of vibe.

But...

For Halloween, they've totally decked it out with a lot of props, some of which I recognize from one year they did the Dead Coconut Club in kind of a tiki theme.

Well,

the classics never get old.

And, like, we would go see where, like, Eloise lived at the Plaza.

She would take us to Trader Vic's and let us sip her Mai Tais.

And so she made my brother and I each live in New York City for two years.

because she felt like it made a well-rounded person.

I saw

a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's

And that's Warren Zevon with Werewolves of London.

And it was on this date, the 7th of September in 2003, that Warren Zevon passed away.

Now, that may seem like a tough one answer because New York is known for its great restaurants.

But I tell them to eat where I eat, Trader Vic's at the Plaza.

Authentic Polynesian food and drink in a sparkling atmosphere.

It's really a tropical island paradise in Manhattan.

Trader Vic's is open for lunch, dinner, and supper.

Like it was down by like where Trader Vic's is.

So, or not Trader Vic's, the pizza place, Cousin Vinny's.

So kind of in that area, kind of where Wayne and Wilmington meet, just down a little bit from there.

But yeah, it was, I guess a head shop too, but I don't remember any of that.

The first time I was in Trader Vic's in Beverly Hills, which was an old time bar.

And my husband and I walked in and we saw her and she waved us to her table because we worked for the newspaper and Daily News.

And she was just Bright and chipper, just as if she'd known us forever.
