And each of those places, from a defensive perspective, he has a very good reputation among his peers.

So when A-Rod says that Arizona defense was good last year, you can shrug and say all those guys went to the NFL.

It's a fun expression that we use to give ourselves a gauge of how good is a team.

It is quite the litmus test for ASU and U of A this weekend.

What we're looking at in terms of Saturday that you and I want to kind of forecast is we're going to be talking a lot of ASU, a little bit of U of A, but start with a big 12 zoom out is this is the first week where we are going to get an idea like, OK, How does this contender picture look? Is anyone going to step up and introduce themselves? Oklahoma State had a miserable start to the year losing to Tulsa, a team that Morrison is North Texas guys beat into the ground year after year and then couldn't beat them now that they were at Oklahoma State.

So could they step up? We talked about The big possibilities for like Houston or Texas Tech who have pretty easy matchups.

I mean, I was going on Kirkland and Ellis's website and just like searching for alumni of Brigham Young University where I did my undergrad.

University of Arizona, which it turns out there's not very many people at the biggest law firm in the world for my now alma mater.

And so these few fools that were dumb enough to respond to my emails, give me a call, give me a chance, shared a lot of wisdom that As someone who didn't grow up honestly knowing almost any lawyers, I can think of two attorneys that I knew that we went to church with, but really had no professional interaction with them.

They gave me some helpful advice and so I turned around and what I would post initially was screenshots of my notes in my notes app on my iPhone and then chat GPT summary of those notes from the conversation with these practicing attorneys.

So that's one thing I think that helps as seeing yourself as someone that's multidisciplinary is in that gap year between when I graduated from BYU and when I enrolled at the University of Arizona for law school, I worked at, I mean, like the most traditional outbound sales role for a company called ADP that like they do the payroll for the IRS.

Yeah.

We have NAU, which I'm the head coach of NAU women's lacrosse.

And then we have U of A, we have GCU.

So It's pretty spread out on the college level, but there's not a lot of youth lacrosse in Arizona for some reason, and we're trying to change that.

I think it's a great – everybody who knows me knows anything we can do to get these kids involved with something.

this hi and then we you know you meet these other coaches and like you said every everyone could have like you if you played basketball growing up you could go and hop on go to the park and they're playing basketball yes And you might not know any of the same people, but we had a coach come to our recent clinic in Prescott, and he was like, oh, yeah, I played at U of A.

And I said, you played with my cousin.

Moving to Tucson, Arizona, after 13 beautiful years in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Your role that you're going to be taking on at the University of Arizona is an amazing one and fits very well into what we talk about pretty often here at KUAF with you and Sound Perimeter.

Coach Adam Clark, running a 3-3 stack defense, something that I'm used to, something that we ran at University of Arizona, something that I ran when I was a head junior college coach when I was a defensive coordinator myself.

It's a defense that's built on attacking.

We have this philosophy, FVP, which stands for fast, violent, and physical.
