Timothy Plan

Timothy Plan

Founded in 1994, Timothy Plan was the first mutual fund to apply biblically based screening to publicly traded companies, including exclusions related to abortion, pornography, and other business activities inconsistent with Christian values. Timothy Plan includes twelve mutual funds and seven ETFs. Timothy Partners, Ltd. serves as investment adviser to the Timothy Plan family of funds. INVESTING IN A MUTUAL FUND MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF PRINCIPAL. BEFORE INVESTING, CAREFULLY CONSIDER THE FUND’S INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES, RISKS, CHARGES, AND EXPENSES OF THE INVESTMENT COMPANY. THIS AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND IN THE FUND’S PROSPECTUS. TO OBTAIN A COPY, VISIT TIMOTHYPLAN.COM OR CALL 800.846.7526. READ EACH PROSPECTUS CAREFULLY BEFORE INVESTING. Because the Timothy Plan Funds do not invest in excluded securities, the Funds may be riskier than other funds that invest in a broader array of securities. There are risks when a fund limits its investments to particular-sized companies, and all companies are subject to market risk. Investing involves risk, including the potential loss of principal. Why don't you give us a call? Uh, today's show brought to you, of course, in part by our friends over at Timothy Plan.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:14
Just can't say enough good things about Timothy Plan.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:15
We love what they do.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:17
Of course, if you follow the Financial Issues model, any of our models, you'll have some Timothy Plan exposure.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:22
You might have a lot more if you're in one of the fund models.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:24
You can check them out at timothyplan.com or call them at 1-800-TIM-PLAN.

So you could do that, or you could be a joint account with a parent.
Mark MinelliHOST
31:11
I know this is a lot of information, and if we have your...
Mark MinelliHOST
31:14
If you stay on the phone after this call, what I can do is we could email you out a lot of the information of these different funds, or you could go out to timothyplan.com. Just remember, you wanna, for you, at your age, at 30, you probably, if you already have your savings set up, if you have the moat around your castle, you wanna be into the growth portfolio.
Mark MinelliHOST
31:37
Uh, so, uh, the street- strategic growth fund of funds would be the one single fund.
Mark MinelliHOST
31:43
Otherwise, you could go with a small cap ETF, lar- mid large cap ETF, international ETF, and, and make a nice portfolio out of that as well.
Seth UdinskiHOST
67:06
What's hers?
Sam CaseHOST

Anna says, "I'm new to investing, trying to build my fund growth model portfolio tracker using just Timothy Plan's, uh, seven ETFs.
Sam CaseHOST
67:15
After plugging in each of these ETFs, my allocation pie shows a, a small other piece of the pie." So literally it says other on her portfolio tracker, and she wants to know, "Which ETF is this? What is the other?"
Seth UdinskiHOST
67:29
[laughs]
Sam CaseHOST
67:31
... each of the, uh, seven ETFs to closely fit the model, uh, if not possible to build fund growth-
Seth UdinskiHOST
67:37
Sure
Sam CaseHOST
67:37
... from, um, Timothy Plan's ETFs only.
Seth UdinskiHOST
67:40
Yeah.
Seth UdinskiHOST
46:35
I might just put it in a money market.
Seth UdinskiHOST
46:36
You might get 3.3% or 3.5% or you might consider something like the Timothy Plan fixed income ETF.
Seth UdinskiHOST
46:44
The risk of going down is there because it's an ETF, so you have to consider that, but for a yield that's paying around 4.5, 4.6%, might be a trade-off there.
Seth UdinskiHOST
46:54
If you're looking for something less risky or hardly in a risk at all, might just put it in a money market.
Seth UdinskiHOST
51:33
It's built out of funds which are already diversified.
Seth UdinskiHOST
51:35
So it's got extra diversification.
Seth UdinskiHOST
51:36
And since it's based around the Timothy Plan mutual funds and ETFs, you can sleep well at night because you know that those funds are clean.
Seth UdinskiHOST
51:43
It's a good question, Joy.
Seth UdinskiHOST
42:03
Now, keep in mind it's an ETF.
Seth UdinskiHOST
42:05
You, you, you might just consider the Timothy Plan Fixed Income ETF for that, and especially, you know, just because it's screening clean today doesn't mean it's gonna screen clean tomorrow.
Seth UdinskiHOST
42:14
A Schwab product, I mean, I would really encourage you to use some scrutiny there.
Seth UdinskiHOST
42:17
And, um, again, it's, it's not one of our holdings, so we're not looking at it regularly.
Seth UdinskiHOST
13:06
Wonderful to have you today, folks.
