What does it mean to you to be part of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and this opportunity to be able to be showcased on a platform like this? You guys are on TSN, myAW internationally.

Yeah.

I still, I don't even think I fully process it yet.

There's a little bit of everything.

And I think you're doing a great job at it.

Last but not least, I'd like to ask everybody this, as of right now, up to this point, on national television, I'm going to remind you again, on TSN, on MyAW internationally, people can watch you guys on television, they can watch you on YouTube, they can see the clips on social media.

know coming out of canada which if you ask me like sometimes it was difficult to be an independent wrestler in canada unless you went traveled to the states and got your name out there and had to go work other places but now there's a platform where you can be seen in canada and you're working with young stars coming up people that have established themselves legends like adam copeland coming down there to like put a spotlight on this place uh the good brothers are in here like people that are really established like Do you feel like you made your younger self proud now? Do you feel like you had to talk to the psycho Mike that was watching or seeing the graphic for Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart at WrestleMania 12? Like, oh, damn,

I really like, uh, I'll just preface by saying this.

I really like what Matthew Shinetti, first of all, shooter, as they call him, Matthew Shinetti, my former TSN colleague.

He's so good at his job.

Such a great guy too.

He could go back to Ohio if he wanted to.

I know he married an Ontario lady, but...

The reason I do is...

One of the motivations I had 11 years ago when we started with the basketball hour over at the old TSN 1260, which evolved into the basketball show was I wanted very much to shine the spotlight at least for part of the show on our community.

We have such a great community in the sport of basketball.

And I wanted to be one of the voices in the community, shining a spotlight on some of the people that aren't necessarily on the court scoring, passing, doing the things that players do, but are an integral part of the fabric of the basketball community.

For those who don't know, it is my sports platform in which I focus mainly on Canadian sports content via my podcast, Avery's Sports Show, Avery's Sports Blog.

And it started back all the way back in 2008 when I walked into sports media, because back then you got into media via going to school and then you would go to school.

at TSN Sportsnet, blogging was very new for me.

So I figured how can I get into sports podcasting? And that was a way for me to launch a podcast back when podcasting was in its real infancy.

Like I could give you an example of something that happened in the BC election that we knew was going to be a big thing and ended up being a big thing.

And I've said it on a number of media occasions already, that I see it as a sort of TSN turning point of the election that we had one was David Eby.

being exposed as having taken advantage of $10 a day daycare.

Even though only 10% of British Columbia families qualified and his wife is a physician and he's a premier, they make a lot of money.

They gave up the big plays.
