The Learning Annex

But, I mean, for me, believe it or not, I, um, I took this fluff class.

Um, there was a place in Los Angeles called The Learning Annex that taught classes from, I don't know, to yoga, to accounting, you know, it, it, just a, a variety of all sorts of classes.

They put out a little, uh, pamphlet, and, you know, they, they, you know, every quarter they probably offered 200 classes.

And I took a class, um, that was Find Your Inner Goddess.

But you know that expression, "We make plans and God laughs"? God had a big laugh.

But one night some friends of mine invited me to an event at the Learning Annex, and it was about money and investments.

I thought, "Oh, I'm gonna go there, and it's gonna help me be better at this job." And so I go to Learning Annex, and it was more of the New Age crowd.

And the gentleman was talking about how our mind creates a reality.

He was talking about the power of our mind and what we put our attention on growing in our lives, which is something that Maharishi always told us.

But the truth is, especially when you're a meditator because you have that power, you have that inner silence, you have that mental clarity.

When your words that you speak Become even more powerful.

Do you see? You know, um, I mean, one of the basic tenets to creating a successful life, I actually learned when I went to the learning annex that night.

Luann needs to go back.

I don't know if Learning Annex.

Remember Learning Annex, which pronounced in so many different ways? When Bethany did her, like, Learning Annex.

Was that during the Bethany Bakes era or when she was burgeoning era of Skinny Girl? Yeah.

I need Luann to do a masterclass.

And a couple of weeks later, I came back to my desk after a long weekend and he had photocopied and taped it.

a page from the Learning Annex on how to start your own laundromat.

And that was...

This is the best boss.
