It was interesting to see because these were created by Jim Henson or the company, the Jim Henson company.
MikePANELIST

It is always interesting to see the Jim Henson company step outside the family friendly realm even if it doesn't really work very often like say Happy Time Murders.
MikePANELIST

I respect that movie in concept but it's not particularly a great movie.

i thought stylistically really cool and it's cool seeing the henson company you know doing something like like this i mean i i liked it i i found the song to be incredibly annoying but but it's a kid in the video i was like i
Cassie HagerGUEST

It is a good, solid concept.
Connor PetreyHOST
15:05
It's very interesting to see the Henson Company, I assume with Brian Henson behind it, since he did that Happy Time Murders a couple years ago, which I personally liked.
Connor PetreyHOST
15:21
It's shared similar themes where it's just these Muppet-like creatures that are just basically doing all these very inappropriate... triple x stuff you know so but josh how do you feel about this short i

And I was lucky enough to be a social media assistant for the entire festival.
ÉabhaHOST
21:57
And one of the things that I was lucky enough to witness was someone from the Jim Henson Company talk about the history of Jim Henson and kind of just the things that had been made with the Jim Henson Company.
ÉabhaHOST
22:10
And one of the things that was made that it does kind of link in with that kind of the staleness of media going on to being nothing from something that was great.
ÉabhaHOST
22:23
was the fact that there was this show called like baby muppets it was some it was like it was like the muppet babies i think it was called um and i'm like wow like that there's so many like shows that have gone on to doing that to themselves why is it so popular with like the older generation because uh the that same um representative from the Baby Muppets or whatever it was called.
Sean J. JordanHOST
2:55
He's more or less a normal sounding guy with a voice coming out of a rather dull and uninteresting puppet that just sits in one place and yammers on about insurance coverage.
Sean J. JordanHOST
3:06
He's voiced by his puppeteer, Grant Macchiaco, a guy who trained with the Jim Henson Company and who's done a lot of puppeteering for commercials and occasionally things I even really enjoy, like Mystery Science Theater 3000's Netflix revival or The Canopy's, just the puppet part, on Wet Hot American Summer 10 years later.
Sean J. JordanHOST
3:26
And the development of the character apparently took many iterations and a lot of hard work, all based around the idea that the phrase Liberty Bibberty was a sort of earworm that stuck with people who'd seen the 2019 commercial and which helped to increase brand awareness.
Sean J. JordanHOST

Insurance companies have long had it hard because they have a product that's actually a service.
Alice IrizarryHOST

It seemed the world was not willing to accept anything from Henson other than the Muppets they already loved.
Patrick WoodwardHOST

A few years later, Henson decided to sell his business, the Jim Henson Company.
Patrick WoodwardHOST

Henson's eldest daughter, Lisa, is the chief executive officer of the Jim Henson Company.
Danielle KellyHOST

They still lean in heavily into the idea of Labyrinth, but don't directly call it out and add in other fantasy D&D kind of crossover references into all this.
Danielle KellyHOST
25:55
But they have the blessing of the Henson Company to still kind of use it.
Danielle KellyHOST

They're still grandfathered into a lot of things.
Danielle KellyHOST
26:02
They can still get away with a lot of stuff.

And that's another way that this is, I think, vastly superior to something like a Willy's Wonderland is that this stuff looks so good.
Derrick McDuffGUEST
11:41
And that's what took it from being probably a little bit subpar movie to a pretty good movie was that care and design that they put into this because the Henson Company... always does good work they're the best in the biz obviously Jason Blum he's also somebody who you know he has some hits and misses but he knows what he's doing and I'm also glad that you brought up how much this movie made because that's even more impressive when you consider that this came out it was released day and date on Peacock but and because and this is like such a Gen Z thing like this is really big with Gen Z and Zen Alpha the Five Nights at Freddy's And and they're, you know, not necessarily the most movie theater going audience, but they still went out in droves to go see this thing.
Derrick McDuffGUEST
12:26
